LUIS TRENKER

ON THE TRACES OF HIS MOVIES

As the winner-project of a competition for representing the movie locations of the famous south-tyrolean director, architect and actor Luis Trenker we are still working on the realization of the whole project. Some of the stations located all over his producing-area in Val Gardena do already exist, others will follow in summer 2011. Our aim was to find out the originial recording positions and connect them with the nowadays real life situations to have a kind of comparison. Also we thought that it is important to use local material - in this case larch wood - which is worked with the technology of wood laser engraving.

Also communicating the whole project was part of our work. Therefore we choose poster and a series of postcards to communicate everything.
